We ordered a Norweld tray in late 2024 for our new Sydney delivered Mazda BT-50 extra-cab because of the strength of their brand and their reputation, I had not seen one of their trays in person before as this was our first ute. We live overseas so with the time difference we communicated predominantly by email. There were some complications on our end which delayed the installation and Norweld were very flexible with that. The communication from the salesperson (Jayden) and the rest of the team was excellent. The water tank in the headboard was an important aspect for us and works really well. The quality of the product is exceptional, I had high expectations but the quality of the tray really exceeded those. We have now done some 20k kms in our first of many trips around Australia with our slide on AC Vantage camper on the tray and the tray has worked really well, the 4 side boxes are very dustproof as is the draw, the locks are very solid. Only minor niggle was the water tap stopped working and was hard (impossible) to find at hardware stores so I called Norweld and they sent a new one out which I will fit. The underbody drawer is great, we keep a pair of Maxtraxs there as well as the car levelling ramps and some tools there so it really justified the extra weight that drawer adds (some people advised against that). Could not recommend Norweld highly enough. My only small criticism would be that you are not able to make any modifications/changes to their standard tray, which for how much the tray costs is a little annoying but to a large degree I understand that, you can open up the floodgates with that. I wouldn’t think about any other supplier if you want a tray unless you have some very specific requirements that their standard product does not cover.

I'd been frothing over a Norweld tray since 2016 when I saw my first episode of a popular 4×4 show on YouTube. In 2019 I got my first tray in the US by way of an importer. I absolutely loved that thing, it was a deluxe weekender and I put it on my 2018 Tundra. I loved it so much that I had to have the bedsides and 2 pack paint, which I was able to get with my second tray in 2021. The craftsmanship is impeccable. I've used and abused this new tray in nearly every possible way and every environment, and I can honestly tell you it will easily outlast my truck. Lucky for me I'll take the tray and put it on the next truck when that time does come. Thankfully their customer service is legendary, and although I had an issue back in 2019 with my filler neck, Isaac and his team got straight to it and sent me out the fix within a few weeks. These guys are legends in my book.
